There's two big events coming up this week at Sydney Airport.
Our Chinese passengers market share increases tomorrow morning, cementing our city as the largest destination for flights from mainland China, in the world!
Hainan Airlines is commencing it's twice weekly service from Changsha in the Hunan Province. HU7997 will land at 6:35am on Tuesday's & Saturdays and depart at 8:20am.
This is in addition to the return of the Xian-Sydney route which was tested during the previous summer. This service will arrive/depart Sydney on Thursday and Sunday each week.
Hainan will be using the A332 on both routes.
Hainan liked what they saw when they dipped their feet into the Sydney market last year, and have returned with these two, all year round flights. This will prove to be a huge boost to the NSW economy, estimated at $62 million each year.
Stay tuned for some airside photo's from tomorrow's event!
On Friday night, Qatar will upgrade their B777 service into Sydney with the much anticipated A380. This will increase the nightly arrivals in Sydney to 3, from the Arab nations. Etihad, Emirates and now Qatar with the A380 inbound to YSSY. This will provide Qatar customers with a seamless A380 experience from Sydney to London, via Doha.
